Ballymena business people say ‘yes we can’

Business people who have ‘been there and done it’ shared their mistakes, successes and knowledge with entrepreneurs in Ballymena last night.

David Patton of Patton Group, Sam Morrison Jnr of Clockwork Orange clothing chain, David Robinson of the Robinson Cleaning company, and Steven Montgomery of Montgomery’s department store, were joined by entrepreneur Fionan Murray and Sam McIlveen of the Belfast Telegraph to speak at the event in the Tullyglass Hotel on Thursday evening.

More than 130 people attended the event, organised by smallbusinesscan.com and supported by Ulster Bank, Ballymena Chamber of Commerce and The Belfast Telegraph.

It involved discussion led by the six speakers and involving business people attending about starting, managing and growing a business.

Fionan Murray, who is one of the founders of smallbusinesscan.com , says: “To create a new beginning for the economy on this island, the thousands of entrepreneurs and innovative small businesses out there need support and advice to make the most of their ideas and talents. They also need to develop productive networks.”
