TOPIC: I need 3 websites, prefer a company in Ireland

I need 3 websites, prefer a company in Ireland 2 months, 4 weeks ago #13587

Hi,
I am about to set up 3 websites, I have the domain names registered but would like to hear from companies in Ireland to see what they can offer.
I need ecommerce platforms that are easy to manage and add products. I already have a Magento site but would like something that is easier to host.

Now for the sites:
1. English
2. German
3. French
But I need to be able to add sites as I develop more countries.
I need full control over the sites. I will also need to see some feedback in regard to your work.
Lots more but lets see who makes contact.
Thanks,
Dave

I am amazed no one is interested in this development work? I have companies in England who want my business, it looks like that is where I will have to go.

Just a quick question - did you actually contact anyone in Ireland and why were they not interested? magento certainly is not an easy to use CMS from a client perspective I agree there

Yes I spoke to a couple of companies but they never came back to me. I was hoping this forum would have some companies who wanted my business but it appears not.
Magento is fine most of the time but even with hosting specially set up for it, it can go slow.
The admin is straight forward, I wanted to add Amazon checkout but it doesn`t work properly with Magento even though they say it does.

I would think with a project like this - multi-currency - multi-country and the gateways needed in each you should really contact a good web agency - I cannot see why they would not get back to you as this (without seeing the spec of course) sounds like a bigger ecommerce project when you factor in the hassles with the gateways and so on. Without a spec I would doubt anyone would really come back in the forums as your probably better of asking for referrals in the forum or at least an experienced ecommerce agency to get you on the right track. Plenty of options out there besides magento - you really need a VPS or something a little more powerful to run magento as the moment you add an plugins it slows down and is not a efficient coding setup really.

I have spent 6 months researching this and know there are a few ways to complete it.
I want the same template design on all the sites with the same banners and branding logo but each country having their flags colours included.
Initially the first 3 sites will offer payment gateways using Amazon and Paypal. I also want a back end that a child could use, I have no skills with css or html etc.
I don`t want Magento, I have looked at Joomla and Zencart but open to suggestions.
This can be done in a simple way or it can be be over complicated.
I thought that a web company who uses this site may think `we could offer this person something fresh` but it appears not.

Hi Dave

I used WordPress for this site www.rubiconhealthcare.com mainly because the CMS is very easy to use. There are templates available which are close to your current design and relatively easy to implement.

I'd be happy to discuss this project with you and when would suit you for a call?

Best Regards

Peter

Hi, I am a web designer, who usually develops the visual element of the site and work with developers independently. If interested we could meet for a talk about what you need.
I also speak french so that may be of benefit to you.
Let me know if I can help
