Strategy is about the map. If you don’t have one, you can’t even start with reading it. If you have not established where you want to go, there is no need for a map. If you can’t read the map there is also no point as you will not be able to figure out how to get to your destination. Strategy is about defining an end point (you can call it vision), having a view on the environment you are operating in (now and in the future) and then having an understanding of the road you want to travel. In a nut shell, where are you now, where do you want to go and how do we get there. Once you have that clear, set your targets on a weekly, monthly, annual basis, check the map on a regular basis and away you go. Bon voyage!
